Club Meetings

The Club meets on the 1st Wednesday of the month (except January) at Beresfield Bowling Club, Anderson Drive, Beresfield at 7pm.

There is also the option to join via video link (Zoom or similar) so please get in touch if you would like to attend a meeting prior to joining.

Fishing Trips

On the 3rd weekend of the month the Hunter Valley Fly Fishing Club regularly organises local and specialty fishing trips to locations such as Lake St Clair, Myall Lakes, Swansea and the Snowy Mountains.

Casting afternoons

On the 4th Sunday of the month we hold a casual casting practice afternoon at the Beresfield Bowling Club from 3pm-5pm. All are welcome, members, potential members, visitors to the area. We practice on one of the bowling greens which can be accessed through the back of the club past the main bar.

No hooks or anything sharp of course. Thongs, crocs or bare feet a must (no shoes with any tread). That’s it, just turn up, bring a rod or three and enjoy the facilities.

Fly Tying

We regularly hold fly swaps and group tying sessions.
